 Ni-Vanuatu pre-Jamboree Week Agenda

  • 27th
They arrive at Bundilla by coach from the airport at 8pm. If the billeting families could be there at about 7:30pm and park in the street it would be great.
  • 28th
Day to get to know the individual families (activities at your discretion). The kids will be shy and maybe just letting them get used to their surroundings may be good. Last time they were here we did a visit to Winsto Mall for a milkshake and it blew them away.
  • 29th
A visit to Featherdale and a look at our wonderful animals may be fun and we could co-ordinate the time so that anyone can come and join in. (1pm)
  • 30th (Day)
A visit to the movies at Castle Hill to see "Avatar" in 3D might be a great thing to do seeing as these guys will have never been to a large cinema before and the movie has by all reports a great story-line of respecting other cultures. This could be open to anyone attending (no uniform). (1:30pm session - $17)
  • 30th (Evening)
In the evening there will be a get together of the entire Ne-Vanuatu contingent at Bundilla (time unknown still) and they need to be taken to this in uniform.
  • 31st
New Years Eve pool party at my place for all the Ne-Vans and any Scouts from any of our Jamboree Troop who wish to attend. Parents can come, but are not required to stay. It is intended to walk (drive) to a venue to watch the 9pm Parramatta fireworks as part of the night. This will be a great pre-jamboree bonding session for the Patrols and should be encouraged.

Day with families and final packing.

 Departure at Castle Hill. Be there by 8am. Details on website.
