We are holding our Group Garage Sale on Sat 10th Sept 2005. This is a yearly fund-raiser, to keep our fees down and provide good scouting for our children.
We will make good use of your pre-loved Spring-Clean out items, so please start putting things aside in your garage sale box.
All items should be saleable, and marked complete/incomplete, working/not working, where applicable, and clothes only in excellent condition please. Please bring goods in on Thursday night 8th, between 7.30 and 9.00pm, we will stack them at the foyer end of the hall, and sorting/pricing will be done on the Friday.
We are asking that each family distribute 20 leaflets to their friends, neighbours etc, advertising our garage sale and asking for donated goods for us to sell.
These leaflets will go home 3 weeks before the Sale.
We would also like each family to put their name on a roster to do their bit for a couple of hours. It's lots of fun to be involved! Many hands make……..a successful garage sale……..and light work. This roster will be on the notice board in the foyer.
We will need:
A parent to put up signs on telegraph poles the weekend before
Helpers to sort and price on Fri 9th, afternoon and early evening
A dad to be available for trailer pick-ups on Thurs night 8th. You can use the scout trailer.
Helpers to take money for sales at the door on Sat
Dads for Security and lifting on Sat
We ask any Scouts/Veggies who are available at 2pm Sat 10th, to come and help with the pack up- if you are free scouts, your muscles and energy would be appreciated.
Scouts, Cubs, Venturers, no uniform required at pack up, but if you’d like to help during the sale, please wear uniform.
