PERMISSION NOTE

YACHT SHOP

Sailing on Saturday 3rd is at Lake Illawarra in Kully Bay. The area used is specific to sailing and there are no powered craft in the vicinity. 

Sailing classes are conducted by qualified sailing instructors on13ft Hobie cats. Great fun and safe for beginners. Classes will go for 2 hours.  

Sailing is subject to weather conditions, should weather become unsuitable the Yacht shop will ring us before 7.00am Saturday  morning to let us know. Patrol leaders will ring patrols if this occurs.  

Parents traveling with us who wish to take part on the day will need to bring suitable attire and will be required to pay a fee approx. $20.00 (Price for parents to be confirmed.) 

Departure from the hall 7.00am.              Return 5.00p.m

Patrol leaders are to organize transport for there  patrol  to and from venue. Parents who would like a nice day out please come along Hot Coffee is available from Illawarra Sailing Club next door. 

You will require
  • Full uniform to travel to and from Sailing Course

Please put swimmers under uniform so that you are ready to go on the water on arrival. Bring dry underwear to change into for the return trip home. We do not wish to have wet clothes in cars.

  • 1 day pack (uniform will be neatly folded and put into this whilst you are sailing)
  • Water boots/or old sandshoes - suitable to wear in water
  • Wide brimmed hat, one that won’t blow off
  • Sunscreen,
  • T shirt /Rash shirt- suitable to wear in the water,
  • Swimmers, Board Shorts,
  • Spray Jacket,
  • Old jumper to put on when you are not on the boats (if it is cold).
  • Towel
  • Food
  • Morning and Afternoon tea,
  • Drink bottle
  • Packed Lunch.

 

ALL THOSE ATTENDING MUST HAVE THERE NAME IN TO ME NO LATER THAN THURSDAY 16TH FEBRUARY SO THAT WE CAN NOTIFY YACHT SHOP AS THEY HAVE TO ORGANIZE THE NUMBER OR BOATS REQUIRED AND INSTRUCTORS
